STAINLESS STEEL , SOLID BRASS AND ABS PRODUCTS

  • We use Stainless Steel Grade 304 Stainless Steel. It is the chromium found in stainless steel that gives it its oxidation, corrosion and durability resistance, making it one of the more hard-wearing metals to choose from.
  • We use DR solid brass for the majority of our residential tapware range. DR brass is characterised by its exceptional resistance to dezincification and corrosion.
  • ABS (Hand Shower) ABS is injection moulded and is derived from acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. It is known for its impact resistance and toughness. ABS is coloured using the same colour treatments as our solid brass range.

COLOURS & FINISHES

  • Our colour range includes: Brushed Nickel (PVD), Brushed Champagne Gold (PVD), Brushed Gunmetal (PVD), Matte Black (Electroplated), Stainless Steel 304.
  • PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition): an industrial-grade molecular-based colouring system which provides a harder, more corrosion resistant finish whilst remaining environmentally friendly.
  • Electroplating: a process that uses electrical current to plate one metal upon another metallic surface to create a long-lasting and durable finish.

TIMBER FLOORING

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Proper maintenance procedures for your hardwood floors can extend their lifespan and maintain their beauty for years to come.

  • Place walk-off mats at all entranceways to prevent dirt and moisture from being tracked onto your floor. This will help capture most of the harmful dirt before it reaches the wood floor. Regularly shake out, wash, and vacuum mats and rugs.
  • Occasionally rotate area rugs and mats to minimise discolouration from sunlight.
  • Immediately wipe up any spills to avoid water marks on the floor's surface. Use a slightly dampened towel for cleaning.
  • Use soft furniture protective pads under all furniture to prevent scratches. These pads can be purchased at your local supermarket.
  • Sweep or vacuum your wood floor as often as necessary to remove dust and debris. The frequency of cleaning may vary depending on the amount of traffic in your home.
  • When moving heavy furniture or appliances, place a large heavy blanket underneath them to prevent scratches.
  • Avoid wearing high heels with nails on your wood floor, as the spiked heels exert significant pressure that can dent the wood.
  • If conditions allow, maintain an average humidity level of 45% to minimise expansion or contraction in your wood floor.
  • Use a recommended wood flooring cleaner or mop to effectively eliminate dust and residue.
  • If water accidentally spills on the wood floor, promptly clean it up to prevent it from seeping into the base layers through floor seams
  • Regular cleaning: Sweep or vacuum the floor regularly to remove dirt and debris that can scratch the surface. Use a soft-bristle broom or a vacuum with a hardwood floor attachment to prevent any potential damage. For a deeper clean, damp mop the floor with a pH-balanced wood floor cleaner, such as WOCA, to maintain its pristine condition. Be mindful to avoid excessive water, as moisture can damage the wood.
  • Protective measures: Another tip on how to maintain engineered timber flooring is to take protective measures, such as placing mats or rugs at entrances to trap dirt and prevent it from being dragged across the floor. Felt pads under furniture legs can also prevent scratches and dents.
  • Humidity control: Engineered timber flooring is susceptible to changes in humidity, which can lead to the expansion or contraction of the wood. Maintain a consistent indoor humidity level with a humidifier or dehumidifier, especially during extreme weather conditions. This is crucial in preserving the structural integrity of the flooring as well as other elements of your home.
  • No harsh chemicals: When cleaning your engineered timber flooring, steer clear of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish. Opt for cleaning products specifically designed for hardwood or engineered wood floors.
  • Regular inspections: Periodically inspect your engineered timber flooring for any signs of wear and tear, scratches or damage. Address any issues promptly before they can cause irreparable damage to your flooring. If you notice deep scratches or dents, use a touch-up kit to restore the appearance of the flooring.
